We had an opportunity to develop a beer bottle for a company in Yi-Xing, China. The city is known for their traditional clay ware and bamboo forest. The idea is to combine the two essential themes with the beer bottle. The clay addition at the bottom of the bottle creates an interesting contrast between two materials (glass and clay). The connection between the clay and the glass took the form from the bamboo joint. The original beer bottle shape is maintained to keep the cost down. The bottle is proposed to be used as a vase once it’s consumed
